Gema Alpuente

Gemma Alpuente nació en Algemesí, Valencia. Está graduada en Bellas Artes y Conservación-Restauración por la Facultad de San Carlos (UPV) con un máster en Educación artística por la Facultad de Magisterio (UV).
Artista plástica e investigadora multidisciplinar que explora materiales y técnicas diversas mediante un método creativo propio.

Galardonada con el Premio Alhambra en el Abierto Valencia. Su exposición “Squeeze” fue particularmente valorada por el público. A raíz de haber sido afectada por la DANA, retomó su producción creativa con obras presentadas en la Fundación Chirivella Soriano, cargadas de poesía y fuerza narrativa.

Gemma entiende la creación como un proceso de exploración dual (hacia dentro y hacia fuera), combinando la intuición y la experimentación. Su trabajo transgrede la bidimensionalidad al usar resinas que solidifican el fluido, creando volúmenes de color que narran lo no verbalizado, y plasma paisajes interiores a través de una estética visual intensa.

Gema Alpuente

Gemma Alpuente was born in Algemesí, Valencia. She holds a degree in Fine Arts and Conservation-Restoration from the Faculty of San Carlos (UPV), as well as a Master’s in Art Education from the Faculty of Education (UV).

She is a visual artist and multidisciplinary researcher who explores diverse materials and techniques through her own creative method.

Gemma has been awarded the Alhambra Prize at the Abierto Valencia, with her exhibition “Squeeze” receiving particular acclaim from the public. After being affected by the DANA storm, she resumed her creative production, presenting works at the Fundación Chirivella Soriano that are charged with poetry and narrative strength.

For Gemma, creation is a process of dual exploration, both inward and outward, combining intuition and experimentation. Her work transcends two-dimensionality by using resins that solidify fluid forms, creating volumes of color that express the unspoken, and capturing inner landscapes through an intense visual aesthetic.
