Lavio operates between Europe and Asia. Founded in 2012 in Shanghai, China, by Laura Clemente, co-director and founder of Pantocrator Gallery, which has had spaces in Berlin, Barcelona, Shanghai, and Suzhou, Lavio was established as an independent project with a distinct curatorial vision. Its focus lies in fostering dialogue between conceptual practices, institutional collaborations, and art advisory.
In its new stage, Lavio relocates to Spain as a natural continuation of its international journey, with a clear mission to build bridges between East and West. Since 2023, the gallery has been working between Murcia, Spain, and Shanghai.
Lavio Art Gallery is distinguished by its commitment to fostering collaborations between emerging artists and established creators, encouraging intergenerational exchange and building meaningful connections that enrich artistic dialogue.
With extensive international experience, particularly across Asia, this new phase in Murcia reaffirms its mission to promote dialogue between cultures and diverse aesthetic practices. The Murcia program centers around conceptual art, where the curatorial challenge lies in generating significant encounters between different generations and artistic trajectories.
