Gemma Alpuente is a visual artist and multidisciplinary researcher who explores diverse materials and techniques through her own creative method. Born in Algemesí, Valencia, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Conservation-Restoration from the San Carlos School of Fine Arts (UPV) and a master’s degree in Art Education from the School of Education (UV).

She was awarded the Alhambra Prize at the Abierto Valencia. Her exhibition “Squeeze” was particularly well-received by the public. After being affected by the DANA, she resumed her creative work with pieces presented at the Chirivella Soriano Foundation, imbued with poetry and narrative power.

Gemma understands creation as a dual process of exploration (inward and outward), combining intuition and experimentation. Her work transcends two-dimensionality by using resins that solidify fluid, creating volumes of color that narrate the unspoken, and captures inner landscapes through an intense visual aesthetic.
