Javier Martín (Ceuta, Spain, 1985) is an internationally renowned multidisciplinary artist whose work questions perception, beauty and contemporary visual culture through painting, collage, sculpture, performance and video art. He showed an artistic vocation from a very young age: he began painting in oils at the age of seven, held his first exhibition at eight and soon received awards for young talent in Spain.
His work explores themes such as consumerism, identity and the influence of the media, with his Blindness series being one of his most iconic. In this series, the eyes of the portraits are symbolically concealed, inviting the viewer to question what we actually ‘see’ and the way in which we perceive the world around us.
Javier Martín currently lives and works between Spain and Miami, incorporating diverse cultural influences into his work that enrich his artistic practice and international profile. His work has been featured at major contemporary art fairs and events worldwide, including Art Busan and Art Gwangju in South Korea, and Art Madrid with Lavio Gallery, thereby consolidating his presence on the art circuits of Asia, Europe and the United States.

In addition to these fairs, Martín has exhibited at prestigious museums and galleries in cities such as Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris and Miami, distinguishing himself through a powerful visual language that combines emotion, concept and aesthetics, inviting the viewer to reflect and connect with his work in a profound and unique way.
In addition to his international exhibitions around the world, he shares his knowledge and personal experience in the field of artistic culture through conferences and talks. In 2015, he spoke to a group of students during a conference at Alboran College in Marbella, Spain, where he discussed the impact that art has had on his life.
The year 2017 began with the presentation of his performance piece “Lies and Light” at the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, followed by a discussion on the importance of dismantling the illusions that lead us astray from the path of truth.
More recently, he participated as a panellist in “New Ways of Seeing”, presented by New World Forum at the Liang Yi Museum, Hong Kong.
