Ramón González Palazón
Throughout his career, he has been awarded various grants and prizes, including: the Casa Pintada Grant (2007 – Mula, Murcia), the Gabarrón Foundation Grant (2011 – New York, USA) and the First Prize in Visual Arts in Murcia (2007). He also received a special mention from the IBAFF jury for his short film (2013 – Murcia), took part in the 2nd Film Workshop with Abbas Kiarostami (Murcia, 2013) and in the Film Workshop with Víctor Erice (Madrid, 2017). Recently, he was awarded the Artistic Production Grant from the Centro Párraga (2020, Murcia) and was selected for the 2021–2022 Call for Exhibition Spaces by CEART – Tomás y Valiente Art Centre in Fuenlabrada (Madrid).
His work explores the pursuit of perceptual and sensory creation through installation, drawing, painting, video art, sculpture and film. He proposes an approach to transformed spaces in which the human and the material merge, harnessing the possibilities of interactive devices to generate new interpretations of physical spaces and encouraging the experimentation with new sensations.
In his most recent works, he reflects on the natural processes that occur between atmospheric elements and their relationship with the human body as an existential and identity-defining engagement. Some of his pieces are the result of research into the ephemeral: the transition from the material to the immaterial, from the temporal
